Amitabh Bachchan, an Indian actor, film producer, television host, occasional playback singer, and former politician, was born on October 11, 1942, as Amitabh Shrivastav. He mostly works in Hindi cinema. He has starred in more than 200 films throughout the course of a career spanning more than five decades. Many people consider Bachchan to be one of the most prosperous and significant performers in Indian film history.10] He goes by several names, including Big B, the Shahenshah of Bollywood, Star of the Millennium, Sadi Ke Mahanayak (Hindi meaning "Greatest actor of the century"), and others. The French filmmaker François Truffaut referred to the Indian film business throughout the 1970s and 1980s as a "one-man industry" due to his domination in the field.
Early life
Born in Allahabad (now Prayagraj) on October 11, 1942, Bachchan was the son of social activist Teji Bachchan and Hindi poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. Fluent in Awadhi, Hindi, and Urdu, Harivansh Rai Bachchan was an Awadhi Hindu Kayastha. The village of Babupatti, located in the Raniganj tehsil of the Pratapgarh district of the modern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, is where Harivansh's forefathers originated. From Lyallpur, Punjab, British India (now known as Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan), Teji Bachchan was a Punjabi Sikh Khatri. Ajitabh, Bachchan's younger brother, is five years his junior.
Bachchan attended Sherwood College in Nainital and Boys' High School & College in Allahabad for his secondary schooling. He studied at the University of Delhi in Delhi at Kirori Mal College. In 1962, he received his Bachelor of Science from Kirori Mal College.
In 1969, he made his screen debut as a narrator for the film Bhuvan Shome, directed by Mrinal Sen. He originally became well-known in the early 1970s for his appearances in Hindi films like Anand, Zanjeer, Roti Kapada Aur Makaan, Deewaar, and Sholay. Later on, he became even more famous, earning the moniker "angry young man" for his several on-screen personas. During the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s, he starred in numerous critically acclaimed high-grossing Indian films, including Amar Akbar Anthony, Don, Trishul, Muqaddar Ka Sikander, Suhaag, Dostana, Kaalia, Laawaris, Naseeb, Namak Halaal, Coolie, Sharaabi, and Mard. Some of his most celebrated roles were in Namak Haraam, Abhimaan, Majboor, Mili, Chupke Chupke, Kabhi Kabhie, Kaala Patthar, Shaan, Silsila, Shakti, Shahenshah, and Agneepath.
Private Life
Since June 3, 1973, when he was thirty years old, Bachchan has been married to renowned actress and politician Jaya Bhaduri. The couple has two children: actor Abhishek and novelist, journalist, and former model Shweta. Actress Aishwarya Rai and actor Abhishek were married, and their daughter Aaradhya is their child. Shweta is wed to Nikhil Nanda, a businessman and member of the Kapoor acting family. Agastya is their son, while Navya Naveli is their daughter. The home of Amitabh's family is Mumbai, Maharashtra. Ajitabh Bachchan, his younger brother, is a businessman. He resided briefly in London and conducted business there. He currently resides in India. He makes the decision to avoid the spotlight with his family.
Ramola, his spouse, is a successful fashion designer. Ajitabh is the father of three girls, Nilima, Namrata, and Naina, and one boy, Bhim. Kunal Kapoor, an actor, is the husband of Naina Bachchan. After appearing together in Do Anjaane, Bachchan and actress Rekha were rumoured to have had an extramarital affair in the mid-1970s to early 1980s. They both denied the allegations, though. Later, the two had numerous successful films together, including Khoon Pasina, Ganga Ki Saugandh, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Mr. Natwarlal, Suhaag, Ram Balram, and Silsila.
