Cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgeon from India, Naresh Trehan. He practised medicine at the New York University Medical Centre in Manhattan, New York, from 1971 to 1988 after earning his degree from King George's Medical University in Lucknow, India. After his return, he established the Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre in India.[3] He is MedantaTM-The Medicity's chairman, managing director, and leading heart surgeon. Since 1991, he has been the president of India's personal physician. He is the recipient of many honours, including the Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Award, and the Dr. B. C. Roy Award.
