They have three boys together and are married to Kim Jackson. For almost A$75 million, Farquhar acquired Elaine, its old ancestral Sydney harborfront mansion, from the Fairfax family in 2017. Prior to being acquired by Farquhar, the Fairfax family had owned the Point Piper residence, which was situated on 6,986 square metres (75,200 square feet), since 1891. According to reports, Farquhar intends to partially demolish Elaine's unattractive renovations in 2020 and build a modern house worth A$30 million in its place. The mansion next door, Fairwater, which cost over A$100 million and was Australia's most expensive home, was purchased by Cannon-Brookes in 2018. Farquhar saved a man's life in Las Vegas in April 2022.
