The co-founder and co-CEO of the software firm Atlassian is the Australian billionaire businessman Michael Cannon-Brookes (born November 1979). He has been a part of the Australia-Asia Power Link project since 2018, which Sun Cable and Twiggy Forrest are working on to build a massive electrical infrastructure in the Northern Territory.
Early Life, Education And Career
Mike Cannon-Brookes and his wife Helen had Cannon-Brookes in November 1979. Mike is a multinational banking executive. He went to Cranbrook School in Sydney and received a UNSW Co-op Scholarship to the University of New South Wales, where he earned a degree in information systems.

Cannon-Brookes is a co-founder and co-CEO of the collaborative software business Atlassian together with Scott Farquhar. The couple founded the business in 2002, not long after they had their university degrees, and they funded it with credit cards. They contend that they started Atlassian in order to work for themselves and make the then-average graduation starting salary of A$48,000 at the major multinationals.

It was revealed in March 2022 that Cannon-Brookes and tycoon Andrew Forrest had invested in the Sun Cable project, which aimed to construct a solar and battery farm measuring 12,000 hectares at Powell Creek, Northern Territory, and a power cable connecting it to Singapore (via Indonesia), departing Australia at Murrumujuk beach.

Sun Cable entered administration in January 2023 as a result of differences between Cannon-Brookes and Forrest. Forrest and other bidders were defeated by Cannon-Brookes' Grok Ventures in a May 2023 auction to purchase the insolvent business.
Personal life
The couple, Cannon-Brookes and Annie Todd, had four kids together. When they were travelling from Sydney to San Francisco, they first met in a Qantas lounge. Todd and Cannon-Brookes resided at Centennial Park in Sydney's eastern suburbs. They acquired Fairwater, Australia's most expensive home, in 2018 for almost $100 million, right adjacent to Scott Farquhar's Point Piper Harbourside estate, Elaine, valued at $71 million. For A$17 million, Cannon-Brookes also purchased the Leslie Wilkinson-designed historic home Verona, which was erected in 1923 and is situated in Double Bay. Pat Goodman, a philanthropist from New Zealand, previously owned the home. Prior to that, in 2016, Cannon-Brookes purchased the 1936 SeaDragon home for A$7.05 million, which was also designed by Wilkinson and refurbished by architect Luigi Rosselli.
