Early Life And Career
On July 31, 1998, Bretman Rock Sacayanan Laforga was born into an Ilocano family in Sanchez-Mira, Cagayan, Philippines. Being an enthusiast of professional wrestling, his father Edmund Laforga gave him the names Bret Hart and The Rock. At the age of seven, Rock relocated to Hawaii, where he grew up to play volleyball, baseball, soccer and cross-country. The track team of Campbell High School included Rock.
Prior to transitioning to vlogs and beauty instructions, Rock was active on Vine and YouTube as a comedian and meme maker. He is renowned for having a lighthearted outlook on life. A video of Rock contouring went viral in 2016. He took inspiration from makeup artist Patrick Starrr and blogger Talia Joy. Additionally in 2016, he agreed to a management deal with ABS-CBN's Adober Studios, the nation's largest media conglomerate, which is controlled by a social media creator network.
