Choi Si-won, well known by his moniker Siwon, was born on April 7, 1986. He is a South Korean actor, model, singer, and composer who is best known for his work with the boy band Super Junior. Prior to being selected as an ambassador for UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office in November 2019, Choi served as UNICEF Korea's special representative from 2015 to 2019.
Early Life And Career
When Choi was sixteen, he was waiting for friends in front of his high school when he was noticed by a talent representative from SM Entertainment. He should try out for the Starlight Casting System of the firm, the agent said. His parents were not informed about his auditions until after he cleared them. He didn't ask for their permission to go. His parents didn't provide him any assistance because they wanted him to accept responsibility for his choices, even though they approved of him signing a deal with SM Entertainment.

In addition to being a part of Super Junior, Choi has pursued individual endeavours, primarily acting. In addition to supporting parts in Athena: Goddess of War (2010), The King of Dramas (2012), She Was Pretty (2015), and Bloodhounds (2023), he starred in main roles in the Korean dramas Oh! My Lady (2010), Poseidon (2011), Revolutionary Love (2017), My Fellow Citizens! (2019), and Love Is for Suckers (2022). In addition, Choi has acted in a number of Chinese-language films, including Dragon Blade, To the Fore, and Helios.

Later, he moved into dorms with other trainees and received instruction in languages, acting, dancing, and singing. In 2003, when he was receiving solo vocal training, he appeared in a music video for Dana by The Grace. One year later, Choi had a cameo in the KBS romantic comedy drama Eighteen, Twenty-Nine in 2005 as youthful Kang Bong-man. In the romance melodrama Spring Waltz the following year, he portrayed the supporting character of Park Sang-woo.
Personal Life
Along with fellow member Kim Ryeowook, Choi graduated from Apgu Jeong High School in February 2006 and Inha University in February 2012. Choi, a well-known devoted Protestant Christian, expressed in an interview that he hopes to serve as a missionary after his career. He often shares lines from the Bible on Weibo and Twitter. Along with other K-pop stars, he has also worked with the Christian singing group 3rd Wave Music. On November 19, 2015, Choi enrolled as a conscripted police officer. On August 18, 2017, he was released from his required military duty.
