Italian-Australian racer Daniel Joseph Ricciardo was born on July 1, 1989, and he presently represents Scuderia AlphaTauri in Formula One, flying the Australian flag. In Formula One, he has eight Grand Prix wins and thirty-two podium finishes.
Early Life And Career
Giuseppe "Joe" Ricciardo, his father, moved to Australia when he was barely seven years old. He was born in Ficarra. Although Grace, the mother of Ricciardo, was born in Australia, her parents were originally from Casignana. Michelle is Ricciardo's sister as well. Born and raised in Duncraig, a suburb in Perth's north, Ricciardo's first motorsport memories were of seeing his father compete at Wanneroo's Barbagallo Raceway. He was raised a Catholic and went to Newman College for high school. He began driving a kart at the age of nine.
As part of an agreement with Red Bull Racing, for whom he was test driving under its sister team Scuderia Toro Rosso, Ricciardo made his début in the 2011 British Grand Prix with the HRT team. After the team switched up its driver roster in 2012, he became a full-time member of Toro Rosso and drove a Ferrari-powered vehicle for them in 2012 and 2013. Alongside Sebastian Vettel, Ricciardo was elevated to Red Bull in 2014 to take Mark Webber's seat when he retired. After winning his first three Formula One races in Canada, Hungary, and Belgium, Ricciardo finished third in the championship in his maiden season with Red Bull powered by Renault.

As a result of how his family and other people often pronounce their surname when they are growing up in Australia, Ricciardo pronounces his surname "Ricardo" rather than the Italian form. Since he was a young child, Ricciardo has worn the number 3 as a tribute to NASCAR Cup Series driver Dale Earnhardt. Supporting the West Coast Eagles of the Australian Football League, Ricciardo held the top ticket for the team in both 2015 and 2016.In addition, he follows the UFC, and while competing in Formula 1, he grew to love the National Football League's Buffalo Bills. He is dating Heidi Berger, the former Formula One driver Gerhard Berger's daughter.
