Early Life And Career
Irene Kim was reared in Seattle, Washington, after being born in Iowa to South Korean parents. Kim attended a Christian boarding school in South Korea after moving there with her family while she was in middle school. Kim attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York to study textile design. The Wonder Girls' song "So Hot" has a leopard print that Kim came up with while she was an intern at JYP Entertainment. Kim says her grandma gave her the sense of elegance.

In 2012, Kim debuted on the runway for Jardin de Chouette and SJYP. For J Koo, KYE, Youser, Supercomma B, and S=YZ, Kim strolled. She has collaborated with fashion houses including Chanel, Charles & Keith, Calvin Klein, Mulberry, Ferragamo, and MATCHESFASHION in addition to MaxMara. Alongside Kendall Jenner, Kim was named an Estée Lauder Global Beauty Contributor in 2015. Kim represents Chanel as a brand ambassador.

Kim joined Mnet's original series "K-Style" in 2015 as a co-host, introducing viewers to Korean trends in lifestyle, beauty, and fashion. A few years later, she co-hosted the "Style Live" programme on CJ E&M's channel Onstyle. "Irene Live" was the name of her segment. Irene started hosting CJ E&M's "Get It Beauty" programme in 2019, which features beauty trends and recommendations.
