Description

Kimberly Noel Kardashian, an American television personality, socialite, and entrepreneur, was born on October 21, 1980. She originally came to the attention of the public as a friend and stylist of Paris Hilton, but her fame grew with the 2007 release of the sex tape Kim Kardashian, Superstar, which she shot in 2003 with the assistance of her then-boyfriend Ray J. She and her family started to feature in the E! reality television programme Keeping Up with the Kardashians later that year, and the show ran until 2021. The spin-off programmes Kourtney and Kim Take New York (2011–2012), Kourtney and Kim Take Miami (2009–2013), and Hulu's The Kardashians (2022–present) were all created as a result of its success.

On Time magazine's list of the 100 most influential people of 2015, Kardashian was listed. She has been cited as a prime example of the phrase "famous for being famous" by both detractors and supporters. As of 2022, her projected net worth is $1.8 billion. Kardashian has increased her political involvement by promoting clemency and jail reform. She is also enrolled in a four-year law apprenticeship programme run by the legal NGO #cut50. Significant media focus has also been given to her relationship with musician Kanye West; the two were married from 2014 until 2022 and have four children together.
Early Life
Robert and Kris Kardashian welcomed Kimberly Noel Kardashian into the world on October 21, 1980 in Los Angeles, California. Khloé is her younger sister; Rob is her younger brother; and Kourtney is her elder sister. Their father was a third generation Armenian-American, while their mother is of Scottish and Dutch descent. After their parents' separated in 1991, the 1976 Summer Olympic decathlon champion Bruce Jenner married their mother. Kim Kardashian gained stepbrothers Burton "Burt", Brandon, and Brody; a stepsister, Casey; and eventually two half-sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, as a consequence of her mother's second marriage.

Kardashian attended the all-girls Roman Catholic Marymount High School in Los Angeles. Her father defended football player O. J. Simpson in his murder trial back in 1994. Kardashian's godfather is Simpson. In 2003, cancer took the life of Kardashian's father. Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton, who introduced Kardashian to the media when she was a teenager, were her close friends. Her father agreed to buy her a new automobile after she totaled hers at age 16 on the condition that she accept financial responsibility for any costs associated with any further damages. After that, she started working at Body, a small clothes shop in Encino, California, where she spent four years while also helping to develop the Calabasas site.
Career
By 2003, Ray J's sister Brandy, an R&B singer and actress, hired Kardashian as her personal stylist. Later, the siblings' mother Sonja Norwood claimed that although though she had given Kim Kardashian permission to use her American Express credit card for "one and only one" transaction in 2004, she had still let Kardashian and her sisters Khloé and Kourtney to make over $120,000 in unauthorised payments to the card. Additionally, Norwood claimed that purchases made at Kardashian's family-owned shop in 2006 and 2007—after Kardashian had left Norwood's daughter's employ—were mostly responsible for the charges.

Norwood further claimed that she did not press criminal charges at the children's request and that she instead confronted Kardashian in person with her claims. According to Norwood, Kardashian then apologised and pledged to pay back the loan. After receiving no money, Norwood launched a lawsuit in 2008. These accusations have all been refuted by Kardashian. The case was purportedly dropped in 2009 after the parties struck a private deal.

Along with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe, Kardashian launched her third fragrance, "Gold," and the book Dollhouse in 2011. In a deal reportedly worth $50 million, E! extended Keeping Up with the Kardashians for two more seasons in 2012. In same year, Kardashian produced her fifth fragrance, "Glam," which was sold through Debenhams, as well as her fourth fragrance, "True Reflection," which she promoted in conjunction with the business Dress for Success. Tyler Perry's 2013 romantic drama Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counsellor, in which Kardashian played the coworker of an ambitious therapist, was produced, written, and directed by Perry. With a global revenue of $53, the movie was a mediocre box office hit.

Together with Emma Roberts, Kardashian served as co-executive producer of American Horror Story's twelfth season, dubbed Delicate. She played Siobhan Corbyn, the protagonist's best friend and publicist, in her first written television role. The first episode of the season, which is based on Danielle Valentine's novel Delicate Condition, debuted on FX in September 2023. The Hollywood Writers' Strike momentarily stopped season production.
Private Life
At the age of 19, Kardashian and music producer Damon Thomas got married in 2000. 2003 saw Thomas file for divorce. Later, Kardashian claimed she was under the influence of ecstasy during their wedding ceremony and blamed their split on his verbal and physical abuse. Ray J, a singer, and Kim Kardashian started dating before their divorce was finalised.

The pair was reportedly considering divorce in January 2021, and on February 19, 2021, Kardashian formally filed for divorce. They both publicly acknowledged in April 2021 that they would divorce owing to "irreconcilable differences" and that they would share custody of their four children. Both parties concurred that they don't require spousal support. Kardashian requested a speedier divorce process from West in a complaint she filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court in February 2022, alleging that West was attempting to delay the process and that "Mr. West, by his actions, has made it clear that he does not accept that the parties' marital relationship is over." On March 2, 2022, Kardashian was deemed to be legally single.
