Lalisa Manobal, also spelt Manoban, is a Thai rapper, singer, and dancer who was born Pranpriya Manobal on March 27, 1997. She goes by Lisa by herself. She belongs to the girl group Blackpink from South Korea, which made its debut in August 2016 under YG Entertainment.
Early Life And Career
Lisa attended Praphamontree Schools I and II for her secondary schooling. She is multilingual; in addition to her native Thai, she also speaks basic Chinese and Japanese, Korean, and English well. She started taking dance lessons when she was four years old, and she soon started participating in competitions, such as To Be Number One. She also joined BamBam of Got7's dance squad, We Zaa Cool, which consists of eleven members. The team participated in the Channel 9 broadcast of the LG Entertainment Million Dream Sanan World competition in September 2009, where they were awarded the Special Team Award. Lisa also competed as a school representative in the Moral Promotion Center-hosted singing competition Top 3 Good Morals of Thailand, placing second.

In September 2021, Lisa made her solo debut with her single album Lalisa, becoming the first female artist to sell 736,000 copies of an album in South Korea within the album's first week of sales. In the first 24 hours on YouTube, the music video for its lead song of the same name broke the record for the most successful music video by a solo artist. "Money" became the longest-charting song by a female K-pop singer on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart. Both "Lalisa" and the album's viral second single "Money" peaked in the top ten of the Billboard Global 200. Lalisa and "Money" achieved the distinction of becoming the first K-pop solo artist's album and song to surpass one billion Spotify plays, respectively.

Lisa began working as an endorsement model for sportswear company Adidas' SS20 season My Shelter apparel line in January 2020, with boy band Winner labelmate Mino. On May 13, it was announced that she will serve as the Chinese face of D&G Downy, a fabric softener firm. She quickly moved on to represent Zhengouli, yoghurt produced by Mengniu Dairy, one of the biggest dairy companies in China. Tencent Games said on June 27 that Lisa will be Supercell's newest Chinese spokeswoman for the mobile game Brawl Stars. Lisa was designated the newest global brand ambassador by Lauder-owned MAC Cosmetics in October 2020. She appeared as the face and inspiration for several collections and important campaigns.
