Croatian football player Ana Maria Marković was born on November 9, 1999. She plays forward for both the Croatian national team and the Swiss Women’s Super League club Grasshopper.
Early Life And Career
Marković's mother is from Split, and her family is of Croatian heritage. Born in Split, Marković moved to Zürich, Switzerland, when she was twelve years old, where she grew up. Marković started playing football in Switzerland when she was 14 years old. She claimed that the rise in women's football inspired her to start playing. She spent three seasons as a member of FC Zurich's U21 squad while in Switzerland before moving to Grasshopper. Marković was called up to play for the Croatia national team after catching the attention of the Croatian Football Federation while he was a player for Grasshopper in Switzerland.
